| Volunteers Needed!
All the efforts of the Wilson Music Boosters is for the students. Throughout the school year, get involved and volunteer a small amount of your time to help this organization continue to succeed! Contact any executive board member, if you are interested in helping with any of our events or to help with any of the positions below.
Sound Panorama – This is our major event for the year on Sept. 29, 2007, and it takes everyone to make this event a success. Please volunteer to sell tickets, sell food, host a visiting band, main the gates, help with grams, bake something for the Bake Sale table, or help with bus and equipment truck parking.
Pizza and Popcorn Sales – Volunteer some time to help sell pizza, popcorn and drinks during home varsity football games and other Booster events.
Spiritwear Stand – Volunteer to help sell items such as shirts, shorts, hats, etc. during home varsity football games and other Booster events.
Fundraiser Coordinators – The Ways and Means Committee is in need of people to coordinate different fundraisers throughout the year. This entails contacting the fundraising company and selecting a date for the sale. Decide on a pickup location (school) for the sold items to be distributed, if necessary. Develop and print information sheets about the sale and distribute them to the different music organizations (i.e. band and chorus rooms). Collect the fundraiser sheets from the liaisons after the deadline. Tally the sales and report to the company. Coordinate additional volunteers to help with distribution. Distribute the items on the designated day and time. That's it, you're done.
Event Electrician – A volunteer with an electrical background is needed to assist at Sound Panorama.
Names and contact information can be found on the Officers page.
High School Marching Band Volunteers – Parents are needed to help with the High School Marching Band this season! You can get involved with helping your daughter or son's efforts in the fall season this year. We need help with pit crew. This would involve helping to set up the percussion pit equipment on the performance field and helping to get the equipment torn down and off the field. The Drum Major stand also needs to be set up and taken down at each performance.
Another aspect where parents are badly needed is in getting the equipment to the performances. If you have a vehicle capable of towing a lightweight ATV and trailer to performance locations please get in contact with us. What is needed is a two inch tow ball and a standard trailer light connection.
Helping out is a lot of fun, don’t miss your chance to be a big part of this year's marching band season!!!
